Teach With Heart began as a simple thought — What if every teacher could dedicate just a little time to help a student in need?
This idea took root in the heart of Dileep Krishnan Poruppath, a passionate teacher who grew up witnessing the transformative power of education in his own family. His mother, Smt. Mallika, lost her parents at a very young age. With the support of kind-hearted relatives and generous neighbors, she pursued her studies and eventually became a science teacher in a small village school in Kayiliad. A pivotal moment in her journey was the encouragement and help she received from a dedicated teacher named Smt. Kamalam and the school’s management.
That one opportunity changed everything — not only for her but for her children too. With her support and income as a teacher, Dileep and his brother had access to quality education and a better future. This life experience left a deep impression on Dileep. He realized that education has the power to lift entire families, and the act of teaching can be one of the greatest gifts to society.
Driven by this realization, and guided by a deep sense of gratitude, Dileep started Teach With Heart alongside his regular job. The vision was simple yet profound: enable teachers to offer free academic sessions or career guidance to deserving students who lack access and resources.
Through this initiative, teachers can contribute not just by giving material aid, but by sharing their time, skills, and knowledge in areas like science, languages, computer science, and career counselling.
What started as one teacher’s mission is now growing into a community of educators who believe that teaching with heart can change lives.
